Can GlobeTask provide virtual services anywhere in the world?

Many of our clients are based in the US and the UK. Because of the time difference we can often get your project or task completed while you sleep. Whether you're vacationing at a tropical resort or sitting by your desk at work, we are available to help you anytime and always when you need us.

Can GlobeTask really save me money?

Absolutely. Compared to hiring a local assistant, GlobeTask's service is very affordable. Without having to pay for office space, salary, and benefits, you can have the support of our full team of highly trained assistants at a fraction of the price. With GlobeTask you are paying for 100% productivity, and by allowing GlobeTask to take care of your day-to-day tasks, you can finally reclaim your valuable time. All of our managers are US or UK born and bred and yet, are billed at a fraction of the hourly rate of the United States.

I don't own a business, but I could use some assistance. Can you help?

Sure. We can help anyone who wants to reclaim his or her time. Whether you're a stay at home parent, a busy employee, or a retiree with a full schedule, we can manage a wide variety of personal tasks - everything from researching preschools for the kids, to travel planning, online purchasing and managing personal blogs and websites.

What if I have a project that needs to be done quickly?

If work needs to get done now, we'll do it now. If work needs to be on a client's desk first thing tomorrow morning, we'll take care of it overnight. Because we're based overseas in a different time zone, in many instances, we can provide you with a quicker turnaround than an in-house assistant who only works standard business hours.

Is my credit card and personal information safe with GlobeTask?

We take every precaution to protect your personal information and credit card details from misuse or loss, and from unauthorized access, modifications, and disclosure. Credit card information is limited to supervisory personnel only. If an assigned task requires the use of your credit card, your Virtual Associate will carry it out to the last step at which point the shift supervisor on duty will take over, entering the credit card information. Our security measures include:

  • Passwords protected, hack-proof servers with limited access
  • Credit card information limited to supervisory staff
  • Extensive background checks and screenings for team members
  • Non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements with all of our employees
  • No external storage devices

Do I have to commit to a lengthy service agreement?

No, you can choose from a variety of flexible plans, including a Pay As You Go plan. Also, you can always upgrade or downgrade plans for the upcoming calendar month. See Our Plans for more information.

Am I assigned one associate to work with me?

Yes, you will be assigned an account manager whose skills best suit the specifics of your project needs. Your manager will be your main contact at GlobeTask. Once you assign a project or task, he or she will either complete it or delegate it to the GlobeTask team that has the specific skills to get the job done. See Our teams for more details.

How do I communicate with my Virtual Assistant?

Unlike in-office assistants, we are just a click away. Upon signing up, your virtual assistant will give you specific contact information.

How does our Client/Assistant relationship work?

We always begin the same way - with a full and detailed explanation of our working process. Your assigned manager will walk you through this. After that, you will receive full access to your manager and his or her direct supervisor. Your team will be available 24 hours a day - one of the benefits of our unique approach.

Can GlobeTask really buy items online or make a reservation for me?

Yes, your virtual assistant has the capability to make online purchases and reservations for you, using your credit card number on file. To minimize exposure of your financial information, your virtual assistant will complete the transaction up to the point where the number is required, and then the shift supervisor who will enter the credit card information and complete the transaction.

My tasks are mostly business related. Can I sneak in a couple of personal tasks?

Sure. Your GlobeTask assistant is skilled in handling both business and personal tasks. It is entirely up to you.

Do you charge extra for specialized tasks?

When you get a GlobeTask virtual assistant, you actually get a full team of people who bring a wide variety of skills. If you need a very specific or rare capability and our team members do not possess it, we will inform you, and with your approval, find and secure the appropriate talent for the task.

You may also elect to use our GlobePro service, which matches specific industry skilled assistants with your exact needs.

Can I let someone else use my account?

Yes, simply notify your virtual assistant of anyone you would like to have access to your account.

How do you keep track of time?

You only pay for time spent working on your projects. We use detailed billing software that tracks to the 1/6th of an hour (10 minute increments). You can view real-time updates of your task time used by logging into the customer section of the GlobeTask website.

How do you bill for your service?

Your credit card on file will be billed by the 7th of each month.

How can I determine what plan is best for me?

To get an idea of how many hours of work you need each month, estimate the number of hours you want us to work each week and multiply it by four and a half. If you would rather set up a free consultation and have us help, simply contact us.

If I know what plan I need, can I sign up online?

If you are sure about the plan you want, go directly to the GlobeTask Order Page. If you have questions, our customer service team is available to help.

Can I upgrade or downgrade plans after I sign up?

Certainly. You can upgrade or downgrade to any plan you want, for the next calendar month.

What if I have used up all of the hours that I have signed up for and need more help, can I purchase more hours?

Yes, we will be able to provide you with the additional help that you need. Keep in mind that extra hours purchased may be billed at a slightly higher hourly rate. If this situation happens on a regular basis, you may want to consider upgrading to a plan that covers all of the hours that you require.

What if I am not satisfied with the service?

If you are not satisfied with the service for any reason and want to cancel, simply send us an email or fax. Termination or change of plan will take effect at the end of the calendar month.
